Eyjafjallajökull e Eyjafjöll

Ha bloccato i cieli di quasi tutta l’Europa, ha monopolizzato le notizie d’apertura di quotidiani e notiziari e nessuno lo ha degnato di chiamarlo con il suo vero nome. Per tutti è il vulcano islandese.

Secondo Wikipedia, Eyjafjallajökull è il nome del ghiacciaio che ricopre il cratere del vulcano Eyjafjöll, comunemente identificato, però, con il nome del ghiacciaio stesso.

E con un po’ d’allenamento si riesce anche a pronunciarlo, non dovrebbe essere uno sforzo immane per chi il giornalista lo fa di mestiere.
